We are interested in art for its own sake, as a way to learn about the world, as a tool for urban rehabilitation.

We encourage artists to submit images if they do original work in painting and drawing, and media rooted in those traditions. Originality without novelty is a big plus. A BFA helps. Having a few years between art school and your current circumstances certainly helps. That said: talent, conviction, and energy count more than your level of formal education. Intelligence helps. Willingness to pitch in helps (most of our shows are not for-profit ventures). Oh, and a sense of humor helps.... but that's just a general coping skill.
